In the historic center, a few hundred meters from Piazza Maggiore and the Due Torri, there is a noble palace that was built in the mid-16th Century to house a Pope. MAP 450 is an artistic map of the places in Bologna linked to the figure of Pope Gregory XIII and to the measurement of time, having been the creator of our Gregorian calendar. The map was commissioned by the Palazzo Boncompagni Foundation, the historic residence of Pope Gregory XIII, on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of his coronation as Pope.
